The Foundation evaluates funding proposals, across the district, from teachers, administrators, and support staff for projects, technology, equipment, supplies, or activities that offer enrichment or the educational experiences. BEF is a nonprofit public 501(c)(3) organization – Tax ID 22-3265028. Donations are tax deductible.

Tina Seyffert "Visionaries have the unique ability to dream of what’s possible and then make it a reality. We are excited to watch these visionaries use technology to help students develop skills in collaboration, critical thinking and teamwork that they’ll need to compete in the global economy.”
Tina has been a resident of Bellingham since 2010 and has 2 sons in the BPS. Education has always been important to Tina; she attended WPI where she earned certifications in Programming and Unix Administration. Tina has applied that knowledge since 2001 at Dell EMC, where she works as a Principal Engineer within Enterprise Technical Services. She believes in lifelong learning as demonstrated by her commitment to education at work, receiving her Dell EMC Proven and Proven SAN Specialist certifications. Tina has been a BEF Board Member since 2013, helping to chair fundraising events and overseeing public relations, and in 2019 assumed the role of President. When she’s not helping to raise funds for the BEF, you can find her watching her boys’ sporting events or enjoying the beach.

Julie Childs
"The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things and not simply repeating what other generations have done. The BEF is plays a large role in helping to obtain this goal"
Julie is a wife and mother to two children who both attend the BPS. She has worked in the accounting field as an auditor for the USDA Federal Milk Market since graduating with a BS in accounting from Bentley University in 1999. Julie is passionate about education and has used her experience in finance as the treasurer for the Bellingham Educational Foundation, since becoming a member in 2014.
She enjoys family time, watching her children’s sporting events and jogging during her free time.

Christine Cooper
"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." - Aristotle
Christine has been a Bellingham resident since 2011 and recently joined the BEF. She has been volunteering for various non-profit organizations throughout the years including The Bellingham Women of Today, the PTO at DiPietro Elementary, and The Town of Bellingham's 300th Anniversary Committee. Christine and her husband Steve have two children, a daughter in the BPS and a son who's a pre-schooler. Christine also works from home for a telecommunications company based out of Virginia. When she is not working or volunteering, Christine enjoys spending quality time with her family, crafting, and attending POUND fitness classes.

Rachelle Jean-Lewis
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. I am excited to be part of one of the ways that Bellingham invests in our youth."
Rachelle has been a resident of Bellingham for 11 years. She has two children who are a part of the BPS. She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Rachelle is also a SHRM Certified HR Professional and has held a career in Human Resources for 17 years and has a direct focus on Talent Acquisition. She joined the Bellingham Education Foundation in 2017 and has been supporting the grant process. During her free time, Rachelle enjoys cheering her kids on at various courts and fields, planning family vacations, crafting, and attending group fitness classes.

Jack Leighton
“Education is the foundation for everything that life has to offer. If we prepare them well, the possibilities are limitless!"
Jack has been a resident of Bellingham for over 13 years. He has two children that are part of BPS. Jack was a former member of the BEF BOD for 2 years and is now back to help make a difference with the education of our Children in the Bellingham School District. When he’s not volunteering his time with the BEF, he’s volunteering with youth sports and spending time with his wife and kids.

Cindy McNulty
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." ~ Pele”
Setting our children and Educators up for success is critically important to our future. The BEF has been able to walk alongside teachers and administrators and dream together, and partner with parents and community leaders to raise over $100,000 already! Having served as President of the BEF for five years, Cindy is excited to be back on the team as the Foundation shapes the next chapter. Cindy has lived in Bellingham for 20 years, has 2 daughters who have loved Bellingham Public Schools and are both about to be soaring to even greater heights in college based on the foundation they learned here. Cindy has held senior leadership positions at Fidelity Investments and more recently at the Hockomock area YMCA. She currently serves as the Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Selectmen and will soon be immersing herself in the field of Fundraising and Development for a non-profit organization.

Kristina Mounsey
‘Teaching children is an accomplishment, getting children excited about learning is an achievement’ ~ Robert John Meehan.
"That’s what the BEF does, we give the teachers the extra tools and opportunities to bring more excitement into the classroom and I’m so excited to be a part of that."

Kristina and her family have lived in Bellingham for 10 years. She has 3 children in three different schools within the BPSD. Kristina currently stays at home but graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Framingham State in 2008. She started volunteering with the BEF in 2016 and has just joined the board. In her spare time, Kristina enjoys spending down time with her family, cheering on her kids at sporting events, photography, and DIY projects.

It was featured on their website & all their other social media sites. Stefanie was awarded a grant for "Imagination Playground" in the 17/18 cycle and ran with it to create something unforgettable for our students. Implementing her activities with students must have taken tremendous effort, but then to take the extra step to make all the videos was phenomenal. Congratulations to Stefanie!
